Sunday mornings are a highlight here at Redeemer Fellowship Church and we hope you'll come and join us! That said, we know that visiting a new place can feel a little awkward at times, so we've listed a few things that might help you understand what it will look like before you come.
To begin with, we welcome you to dress comfortably and be yourself. Most people at Redeemer will dress somewhat casually, though some dress up. We welcome you to wear jeans if that's what you're comfortable in or even shorts in the summer months. In the end, don't make dress an issue, because we don't.
What do I do when I get there?
When you walk in the front doors a friendly person will greet you, give you a worship guide, answer any questions that you might have, and direct you to the sanctuary. They can also take you to the nursery if you would like childcare during the service (please read about Redeemer Kids for more info).
What happens during the gathering?
The worship guide you receive will give you an idea of what to expect during our time together. We want you to enjoy your time with us so we invite you to participate as much or as little as you like. We’ll give some simple instructions throughout the service to let you know when to stand or sit. During our time together we'll sing, pray, read Scripture, laugh, hear stories of how God has transformed people’s lives, and hear a message that is both Biblical and practical.
The music we sing at Redeemer is a blend of both old and new. We love the doctrinally rich older hymns (sometimes sung to a new tune) as well as the newer choruses. We believe that diversity in the music style is a way of loving one another, knowing that some prefer an organ while others prefer a guitar. At Redeemer you will enjoy a nice mix of both.
The preaching at Redeemer will typically be expositional, which simply means that we will preach through books of the Bible. Sermons will be loaded with practical application. Our sermon series will alternate between Old and New Testaments, but all sermons will be gospel centered, since Jesus is the focal point of every book of the Bible.
After the Service
After the service we invite you to hang around for a little while when we’re done. Refreshments will be available each week, which provides a great opportunity for our people to meet newcomers and fellowship with one another.
